On October 2, 2007, the two candidates for the White Hall District of the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors met at a Candidates Forum sponsored by Charlottesville Tomorrow and the Free Enterprise Forum. Republican David Wyant and Democrat Ann Mallek answered ten questions on land use, transportation, and growth in the County. The candidates also answered several questions submitted by members of the audience. The event, held at Henley Middle School in Crozet, was co-moderated by Neil Williamson of the Free Enterprise Forum and Sean Tubbs of Charlottesville Tomorrow.

Dear Brian, I remember you were very active in trying to keep Faulkoner Construction off Morgantown road. Now that elections are coming up I want to be sure not to vote for amyone who supported Faulkner. Can you let me know, or know where I can find how folks stood on that issue? Many thanks for all you do! And good luck on the School Board election!

The October 2004 vote by the Board of Supervisors was unanimous to reject the Faulconer site plan (that includes votes by current candidates Dorrier, Boyd, Wyant) for their 27 acre site off Morgantown Road in Ivy, VA.
Before the County Planning Commission in September 2004, Marcia Joseph voted to recommend rejection of the Faulconer site plan too. Faulconer took Albemarle County to Circuit Court and was successful in having the decision overturned. The County declined to appeal the case to the Virginia Supreme Court.
