On July 11, 2015, the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection held a one-day festival called ARTInstead. The event featured a panel discussion on race, identity and art with Tony Albert, Gerald Cournoyer, Madhavi Reddi, and Frank Walker. The event was facilitated by Margo Smith.
